Ascent was perhaps the only exhibitor at ERP Expo 2026 without an ERP product of its own.
And yet, we participated.

Because what we believe businesses need is often not another ERP product – but greater clarity before technology decisions are made.

This belief was shaped over a 15+ year journey.

Early in our journey, we were exposed to a fundamental gap within Indian SMEs and family-managed businesses:

Technology was often being introduced before processes were fully understood, articulated, or aligned internally.

Systems were being implemented.
But operational thinking remained fragmented.

That experience sowed the seeds for what eventually became Ascent’s philosophy:

Businesses first need advisory-led process clarity.
Only then should technology systems be introduced – carefully aligned with the pulse of the organisation.

Surprisingly, this remains a largely underserved market.

Large consulting firms rarely operate deeply in this segment.
And because this is a highly people-driven space, it attracts very little institutional capital.

So we stayed with the problem.

For over a decade, we worked closely with Indian SMEs – understanding operational realities, management transitions, process gaps, and the challenges of scaling without organisational structure.

And after our experience at ERP Expo 2026, we are more convinced than ever:

Indian businesses are ready for Technology Consultants.

Not just software vendors.
Not just implementation partners.
But consulting-led technology transformation.

At Ascent, we have always known we are early to this shift.
And we are here for the long innings.
